International Conference on Research Methodology for Built Environment and Engineering (ICRMBEE 2021) is to be held virtually on 10th November 2021. ICRMBEE is the first international conference in Asia that focuses on the method adopted in the area of built environment and engineering. Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Surveying, Universiti Teknologi MARA (FSPU-UiTM), Shah Alam, Malaysia will organize this conference with the theme, ‘Synergizing Creativity and Innovation Towards Sustainable Built Environment and Engineering Research’. This year, it is a privilege to have School of Business and Management, Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM-ITB), Indonesia on board, as a co-organizer. ICRMBEE 2021 provides an opportunity for interaction and exchange of ideas on the most appropriate ways of building bridges across universities, research institutions, government, industry and experts from around the world.

Research, innovation and improvisation have helped to enhance systems, methods and approaches particularly in the built environment. Research methodology is the most critical aspects which should be chosen appropriately and accordingly. Quantiative and qualitative methods are two different elements of the methodology. Both would influence the outcome of the research. Being the first conference that focuses mainly on the methodology of the research, it would help the prospectus researcher to understand, determine and identify the variety of research methodologies available. The organizing committee of ICRMBEE 2021 aims to make the conference grows into a renowned avenue and platform for global intellectual discourse.

Finally, on behalf of Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia and Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, we would like to welcome and to thank in advance for participating in this conference.
